“your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes”
— Carl Jung
how i work
My approach is integrative, body-based, and attuned to each person I work with. I draw from somatic therapy, Jungian depth psychology, yogic influences, and creative practices—woven with an emphasis on nervous system support, relational safety, and exploring symbolic meaning. My practice is trauma-informed.
This might look like tracking sensations in the body, exploring dreams and imagery, slowing down with sensation, or exploring through drawing or gesture the things that are hard to say.
Whether working with teens, adults, or couples, our sessions will approach the practical and the philosophically “deep.” I can help you take that leap towards the next chapter of your life, supporting your soul’s unfolding.
my story
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of Georgia, where I researched how food practices carry cultural memory through time.
Raised Iranian-American in the southeastern U.S., I experienced growing up in a family that had revolution running through its root system. I’m deeply committed to creating spaces where healing can happen, especially in communities facing oppression and for communities that contain complex dynamics of difference. I believe that when we heal individually or in close relationship, we “butterfly-effect” our healing through the world around us.
I specialize in working with preschoolers, having trained with the UCSF Infant-Parent program, and I’m a registered somatic movement therapist and educator (ISMETA). My work blends talk therapy with body-centered practices, dreamwork, and cultural connection to support each person’s unique journey.
I’ve published on topics like somatic research, embodiment, Iranian diaspora, food as a vessel for memory, and the intersections of pop culture, film, and identity. I’ve also had the privilege to teach internationally on somatics, ancestry, and gender.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me gardening, keeping seeds, exploring astrology, or teaching yoga, Lagree, strength training, and boxing. I bring care and curiosity to all the spaces I hold.
